Eleanor is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Trials at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, University of Nottingham and current Chair of the UKTMN Executive Group. She has worked in clinical research since 2002 in a variety of trial management roles. She has extensive experience of the design and conduct of clinical trials in a range of clinical areas, particularly maternal and newborn care, both in the UK and internationally, particularly in low and middle income countries (LMICs). She is also interested in trial methodology, particularly on training of research sites. Before joining the UKTMN Executive Group in early 2017, Eleanor was involved in UKTMN in a number of ways, including presenting at the annual meeting and leading the review of the Guide to Efficient Trial Management. She is passionate about trial management as a profession and, in her role of Chair, would particularly like to push the career development agenda forwards nationally. She is also keen to ensure the continuing development of UKTMN who play a role in sharing expertise, for trial management professionals to continue to learn together, and for members to feel part of a wider community, providing a collective voice for trial management.
