Are you setting up new sites for your trial or will you be soon? The Estimating Site Performance 2 project still needs you!

Join in and help adding to the evidence base for trial conduct by testing a tool that might identify sites which are likely to fail to recruit as planned. We realise the pandemic has had a severe impact on many trials, some have even been stopped, the impact will be felt into the future, making the findings from ESP2 more relevant.

The ESP2 website (https://w3.abdn.ac.uk/hsru/ESP2/) remains open so you can register to take part at any time. You can also make predictions now or in the future 24-7.  You can make as many or few predictions as you wish.

The project is led by trial managers based at the University of Aberdeen, UK and asks trial managers and anyone else responsible for opening trial recruitment sites to make predictions about site recruitment after considering eight ‘red flags’ identified in a smaller study.

ESP2 needs 1000 recruitment predictions from across the world. So far we have a fairly global signup which apart from the UK includes Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, USA and Australia!

You can make predictions through a web-based system and the ESP2 team will contact you 6 and 12 months later to see how recruitment is going. We expect it will take 2-3 years to get the 1000 recruitment predictions, so you have plenty of time to join yet.

The UK Trial Managers’ Network has partnered with Trial Forge to support ESP2.
