Triggered or routine site monitoring visits for randomised controlled trials? Results of TEMPER, a prospective, matched-pair study
William Cragg (Research Associate in Trial Conduct Methodology, MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL)
Risk-based approaches are increasingly recommended in monitoring randomised controlled trials, but there is a lack of evidence to support best practice. The TEMPER study has evaluated one possible risk-based method, whereby sites are prioritised for monitoring visits based on central monitoring findings. In this webinar, we present the study results and discuss implications and possible future developments.
