We will have a great line-up of speakers and workshops which we are sure you’ll find stimulating and interesting. This event will also be a super opportunity to have up-to-the-minute news about the further development of the Network as well as the exciting initiatives that the UKTMN has in the pipeline!
When you register online for a place at the Annual Meeting you will be asked your preference for which workshop you would like to attend. Places for these workshops will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee you will be allocated your choice of workshop.
The programme begins at 9:30 and ends at 16:30. Registration is from 9:00 but if you arrive early, from 7:30 onwards you can help yourself to continental breakfast and coffee/tea from the self-service coffee points. There will be a hot, buffet lunch and the chef at the venue will have catered for all dietary requirements that have been notified to us on the registration forms. There is a choice of dishes for lunch and you can ask the catering team to serve you with a meal that fits in with your preferences/dietary requirements. You can stay on for tea/coffee and further networking after the talks have finished. There’s Wi-Fi and plenty of desks and comfy chairs.
If you are a Full member and have renewed your membership for 2017/18 (i.e. your expiration date is 31/08/2018) prior to the registration, you can register for the annual meeting for free. Go to this news item for further details about membership renewal.
If you are a Full member and your membership will expire on 31/08/2017, the registration fee for the annual meeting is £75. This payment will include your Full membership for 2017/18. After registering for the above, please make the £75 payment on the Online Store (click this link).
If you are an Affiliate member, we recommend that you renew your membership to full member for 2017/18 after 14 August (go to this news item for further details about membership renewal), and then you could register for the annual meeting for free. If you do not renew your membership before the registration for the meeting, the registration fee for the annual meeting is £100. This payment includes an upgrade to Full membership for 2017/18. After registering for the above, please make the £100 payment on the Online Store (click this link).
Jennifer Harrison, HRA Approval Change Manager at the Health Research Authority, will be giving an update in the morning. She will also be leading a workshop in which she will answer your questions. In order for Jen to be able to tailor the workshop to meet your needs, please could you email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your queries and areas of concern about the HRA approvals process. We should receive your queries no later than 24th September so that we can pass these on to Jen.
It may also be helpful for other workshop leaders to have your queries ahead of time and so if you are planning to attend one of the other workshops and have specific queries, please let us know (again, no later than 24th September) so that we can pass these on to the workshop leads.
We would draw your attention to the Cancellation/no-show Policy for the Annual Meeting 2017.
We anticipate that demand for the places will be high as this is always a popular meeting so please check your availability before booking a place. You will need to cover the cost of your own travel.
We will operate a waiting list and so it is very important that you let us know as soon as possible if you find that you will be unable to attend. Your place will then be offered to a member on the waiting list. We regret that refunds for cancellation cannot be given, as the fee includes your Full membership for 2017/18.
To ensure that we do not have empty spaces on the day, if you do not take up your place and have not emailed to cancel your booking, by Tuesday, 3rd October at 10:00 BST, UKTMN will make a "no-show" charge of £25. UKTMN reserves the right to invoice your CTU/employer for the "no-show" charge of £25 for places not taken up by their employee. We accept that there will always be unforeseen emergencies.
Fliers for the meeting pack
If you have fliers about courses or projects which would be of interest to UKTMN members that you would like us to include in the delegate packs, please make sure that 160 printed copies of these will have reached us by MONDAY, 2nd October at the latest. For further details or if you have queries, please email email@example.com.
